We are looking for an Accounting Manager for our client with at least 10 years of experience, ideally in the banking sector. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, managing a team, and ensuring compliance with Lux GAAP and IFRS standards. Proficiency in English and French, as well as expertise in taxation and regulatory reporting, would be an asset.
Description
Role Responsibilities:- Oversee the Accounting Section within the Finance Department, managing all operational matters.
- Supervise monthly and year-end closing for the bank, Irish branch, and management company.
- Prepare and monitor Profit & Loss reports, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Manage a team of six accountants, ensuring efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger postings.
- Ensurecompliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and VAT declarations.
- Support the Head of Finance during audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditors.
- Assist with corporate accounting matters, internal controls, and financial reporting.
Profile
Profile:- Minimum 10 years of experience in an accounting department, preferably within a bank.
- Proven experience in team management.
- Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Lux GAAP, IFRS, tax, and VAT regulations.
- Proficiency in English and French, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with a high level of professionalism.
- Experience in regulatory reporting (CSSF, BCL) or auditing would be a plus.
