Accountant

ACCOUNTANT  

Based in Belval, Luxembourg

As we continue to grow across EMEA, we’re looking for an Accountant to join our Finance team in the Headquarters in Luxembourg/Belval location. Together with your colleagues in Luxembourg and in Germany you will take care of accounting activities for our companies in EMEA. 

Key responsibilities:

• Supplier invoices bookkeeping and payments processing 
• Booking of bank statements and bank accounts reconciliation 
• Upkeeping accurate data for Cash flow purposes 
• Review, validate and record staff expenses in line with internal policy 
• Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts  
• Active participation in month end closing activities 
• Support the preparation of monthly/quarterly VAT returns, EC Sales Lists (VIES), and Intrastat declarations for domestic and multiple EU jurisdictions. 
• Support on ad hoc requests as required

Who you are: 

• You like to work in an international environment 
• Of uttermost importance for us is that you have good interpersonal and communication skills in French and a good level in English (additional language skills are welcome) 
• You have a degree in Accounting, Finance or business administration 
• You have 2-4 years of experience in an Accounting Department of an industrial or commercial company 
• You are able to work accurately and you are methodic and organized 
• You are proficient with Excel, have some experience of SAP or other similar ERP system 
• The role is full-time located in our Belval office in Luxembourg and does not require travelling.
