About us
The University of Luxembourg is an international research university with a distinctly multilingual and interdisciplinary character.
The University's main Library, the Luxembourg Learning Centre (LLC), located in the heart of the Belval campus, is much more than a library: it is a hub of innovation and knowledge designed to foster research, learning, collaboration and outreach. Its building, a true architectural masterpiece, combines the restructuring of an old industrial hall with bold contemporary design, and spans 14,000 m², 10.7 km of shelving and more a thousand working spaces. It stands as a prestigious façade for Luxembourg and for the University of Luxembourg, reflecting the ambition and academic excellence of both the country and the institution. Equipped with modern infrastructure and advanced technologies, the LLC offers a unique environment where students, researchers, and professionals come together to create, share and innovate. Complementing the central role of the LLC in Belval, a library hub specialising in European law research is located in the Weicker building, benefiting from its proximity to European institutions and Luxembourg's financial district.
