We are currently looking for a:
Data Governance Officer (M/F)
Within a prestigious international financial institution, the incumbent will play a key role in the implementation of a best-in-class approach to data governance; the responsibilities of the position will extend to associated aspects of systems development, data extraction and dashboarding, thereby providing a holistic contribution to the organisation’s move towards becoming data-driven.
Your mission:
· Act as Data Officer across a defined set of (existing and new) Investment Office data points, developing a detailed understanding of their lineage and usage across the organisation.
· Establish and implement relevant data quality checks and analysis.
· Maintain a detailed understanding of upcoming internal system developments with a view to ensuring a robust implementation from a data flow and data governance perspective.
· In the field of data analytics and data queries, step in as needed to provide support to internal counterparts.
· Identify ways of improving or enhancing data storage, retrieval, and analysis tools in order to support the institution’s transition towards a data-driven organisation.
· Support other members of the team, as needed and to the extent relevant, in relation to associated activities including in the field of modelling and projections.
Your profile:
· University degree in Finance, Economics. Engineering or Business Administration (preferably at postgraduate level) with a combination of the above being an additional asset.
· Relevant experience between three and five years in the financial sector ideally with direct responsibilities for data handling and/or data governance; or alternatively an excellent technical understanding and enthusiasm for the topic.
· Prior experience with some or all of eFront, DAMS, Tableau, Alteryx and Python, or else the demonstrable ability to acquire such expertise quickly.
· Prior experience in data extraction, data manipulation & analytics, data governance, systems development and/or system maintenance would be an advantage.
· Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of other EU languages would be considered an advantage.
