Your mission :

The ServiceNow IT Developer is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, maintaining and enhancing the ServiceNow platform to meet the organisation’s business and IT needs. The role ensures the delivery of robust, scalable and secure solutions in line with ServiceNow best practices and internal standards.

As a technical expert, the ServiceNow IT Developer supports project teams and stakeholders in defining technical solutions, contributes to architecture decisions and actively participates in the continuous improvement of the ServiceNow platform.

Key Responsibilities

ServiceNow development and configuration

  • Design, develop and maintain applications and functionalities on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Configure and customise ServiceNow modules while prioritising standard out-of-the-box capabilities.
  • Develop Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, Catalog Items and workflows.
  • Create and maintain solutions using Flow Designer and IntegrationHub.
  • Deliver developments in accordance with defined quality and security standards.
  • Automate processes to improve operational efficiency.

Solution analysis and design

  • Translate functional requirements into appropriate technical solutions.
  • Participate in solution design workshops with business and technical teams.
  • Assess the technical impact of change requests.
  • Propose innovative solutions aligned with ServiceNow best practices.

Integration and automation

  • Develop and maintain integrations with external systems, including REST and SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, LDAP / Active Directory, cloud solutions and third-party applications.

Platform governance and management

  • Ensure compliance with development and architecture standards.
  • Contribute to platform upgrade activities.
  • Guarantee the performance, stability and security of developments.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation.

Support and continuous improvement

  • Provide expert-level support for complex incidents.
  • Perform root cause analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise the platform and related processes.
  • Contribute to the ServiceNow evolution roadmap.

Your profile :

Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in ServiceNow development.
  • Proven experience across several ServiceNow modules in complex environments.
  • Experience working with Agile, Scrum and/or Waterfall project methodologies.
  • Experience in international environments is an asset.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow, preferably including ITSM, CMDB, Discovery, Asset Management, CSM and Service Catalog.
  • Confirmed expertise in Domain Separation and ServiceNow on-premise instance management is a significant advantage.
  • Advanced JavaScript and ServiceNow Scripting Framework.
  • Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Git, Azure DevOps or equivalent tools.
  • Agile / Scrum methodologies, automated testing and deployment practices, CI/CD and ITIL.
  • Relevant certifications are an asset, such as ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD), ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS-ITSM, CIS-CSM) and ITIL v4.
