Your mission :

Overview: The Junior Monitoring and CMDB System Engineer is an operational role within the Monitoring and CMS squads, supporting monitoring and CMDB tools and applications used across the organization. The Junior Engineer works under the guidance of senior engineers and contributes to daily operations, basic administration tasks, incident investigation, and service support activities. The role focuses on learning, hands-on experience, and progressive responsibility in a secure enterprise environment. This is a hands-on, operations-focused, on-site role. The engineer participates in an on-call rotation (approximately 1 week per month) once sufficiently trained and onboarded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Junior Engineer supports the operational team in delivering services as defined in the Service Catalog.
  • Activities are performed under supervision and progressively expanded as skills and confidence grow.
  • Typical activities include:
    • Incident, problem, and change ticket resolution within defined SLAs
    • Escalation of complex issues to vendors and coordination of vendor support
    • Administration of Key Management Services (KMS) and associated HSM platforms
    • Execution of operational tasks based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of operational documentation
    • Participation in Problem Management, both proactive and reactive
    • Identification of process improvements and automation opportunities
    • Collaboration at squad level with architects, developers, service owners, and stakeholders
    • Contribution to service evolution, KPIs, and operational excellence initiatives
    • Participation in 24/7 on-call service rotation

Your profile :

Required Skills & Experience:

  • You have initial professional experience (0–2 years) in one or more of the following areas:
    • Linux system administration
    • System engineering
    • IT operations
    • Configuration Management
    • Monitoring
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Linux operating systems in an enterprise environment.
  • Understanding of IT concepts, such as:
    • Observability and Monitoring
    • Configuration Management Database
  • Familiarity with enterprise IT environments and tools, such as:
    • Service Now
    • Jump hosts / bastion environments
    • CMDB or asset management tools
    • Monitoring and logging systems (e.g. Prometheus/Grafana, Splunk)
    • Configuration management or automation tools such as N8N
  • Basic scripting knowledge or willingness to learn:
    • Bash and/or Python
    • Interest in automating repetitive operational tasks
  • Understanding of ITIL concepts (incident, problem, change management) or willingness to learn them.
  • You are motivated to learn new technologies, security platforms, and operational processes, and you are comfortable working in a structured, procedure-driven environment.
  • You are reliable, curious, and eager to grow professionally within a multi-national and customer-focused environment.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • EU citizenship;
  • You are able to work in shifts (7 AM – 20 PM) and 24/7 support on call.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; proficiency in any other European language is a plus.
