PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST – EMEA

As part of the expansion of its EMEA Procurement function, our client is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Procurement Specialist to join its Luxembourg-based team and contribute to strategic procurement initiatives across the region.
YOUR MISSION
Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, you will become a key contributor to the optimization of procurement operations across the EMEA region.
This role offers a unique opportunity to combine operational procurement responsibilities with strategic sourcing projects, allowing you to gain significant international exposure while actively influencing procurement performance and supplier partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Manage the procurement of indirect materials, services, and MRO categories across multiple EMEA locations.
- Drive sourcing activities from supplier identification through negotiation and contract implementation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost competitiveness.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when required.
Strategic Sourcing & Cost Optimization
- Analyze procurement spend and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and value-creation initiatives.
- Support supplier rationalization and sourcing optimization projects.
- Contribute to procurement strategies aimed at improving efficiency, reducing risk, and strengthening supply continuity.
- Identify and evaluate alternative sourcing solutions to enhance procurement resilience.
Procurement Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure efficient procurement execution through ERP and e-Procurement tools.
- Support the optimization of procurement processes and best practices across the region.
- Manage supplier claims, returns, and procurement-related issues while ensuring timely resolution.
- Participate in regional and global procurement transformation projects.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Production, Finance, and other key stakeholders.
- Act as a procurement business partner, supporting internal teams in achieving operational and strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with global procurement teams to align regional initiatives with broader organizational goals.
Requirements
YOUR PROFILE
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, or Supply Chain.
- Previous exposure to an industrial, manufacturing, chemical, or technical environment is highly appreciated.
- Experience managing indirect spend and MRO procurement is considered a strong asset.
Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of procurement processes and sourcing methodologies.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and e-Procurement tools.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to leverage data to support decision-making.
Personal Qualities
- Proactive, hands-on, and results-driven mindset.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Confident communicator capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, international environment.
Languages
- Fluent English is mandatory.
- French is considered a significant advantage.
