As a tax specialist, a VAT specialist, your job is to manage and optimise the tax situation of a company, while respecting the legal framework in force. You are an advisor and ensure that your employer or client pays as little tax as possible. You keep up to date with the latest regulations, check tax returns, work in collaboration with the [accounting](/job-offers/jobs-luxembourg/field-accounting-controlling-tax teams). You will also act as an intermediary and represent the company toward the tax authorities, in order to defend your strategy and deal with litigation.
You can work as an independent consultant, or work for audit companies or law firms in Luxembourg. In a legal environment, you could be a jurist, legal expert or lawyer, specialising in tax.
