Our client, an international investment manager, is looking for a Financial Accountant for a 6 months temporary contract for its Luxembourg office.
In this role, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records for legal entities and will be in charge of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing of accounts.
Additionally, he/she will handle external reporting to headquarters, regulators and government authorities.
The candidate will perform balance sheet reconciliations, support the Group Tax team in meeting tax compliance requirements by country and entity. Furthermore, he will provide financial data and analysis to support business decision-making, acting as the liaison for all third-party matters, including auditors and tax consultants.
The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or auditing, with a solid understanding of French GAAP and IFRS. Strong proficiency in Excel is essential with experience using ORACLE or SAP. Fluency in English and French is mandatory.
The ideal candidate will be focused on quality and timely delivery, demonstrating integrity and accountability. He/she should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Strong analytical skills and a high affinity for numbers are necessary, along with excellent organisational abilities to provide timely and accurate financial commentary.

A good understanding of tax compliance, including international VAT and transfer pricing. Experience in the asset management sector is also a plus.
This position is to start asap for a 6 months contract.
