We are looking for a Senior Associate Accountant (M/F) on a permanent contract.
Under the supervision of the Capital Markets team manager:
- Take ownership of the accounting follow-up of a portfolio of securitisation vehicles, compartments and related transactions.
- Ensure that accounting records are accurately maintained, including cashbook entries, accruals, expenses, loan-related transactions, interest calculations, note issuances, repayments and other periodic accounting postings.
- Coordinate month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings and prepare annual accounts and related supporting documentation.
- Review and analyse transaction documentation, including loan agreements, final terms, security documents and other transaction-related agreements, to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and operational follow-up.
- Monitor transaction cash flows, interest payments, fees and payment waterfalls, ensuring consistency between accounting records and transaction documentation.
- Coordinate audits and act as a primary contact for auditors, tax advisers, banks, clients and other service providers.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, VAT returns, statistical reporting and other regulatory filings.
- Review accounting work performed by junior team members and provide guidance and support as required.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and reporting tools within the Capital Markets department.
- Stay informed of accounting, tax and regulatory developments relevant to Luxembourg securitisation vehicles and structured finance transactions.
Your qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Audit, Finance or a related field.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in accounting, audit, fiduciary services, fund administration, corporate services or securitisation structures.
- Sound knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP.
- Experience in the accounting of securitisation vehicles, SPVs, debt instruments or structured finance transactions is considered a strong asset.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, closing processes, reconciliations, accruals and interest calculations.
- Familiarity with Luxembourg tax compliance, VAT reporting and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Ability to analyse legal and transaction documentation and assess related accounting implications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. French will be considered an advantage.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
