Mission

You will join the team responsible for organising and managing the CSSF’s archives.

Our aim is to introduce you to the role of an archivist within a Luxembourg public institution responsible for regulating the financial sector. This position offers you the opportunity to take part in projects involving the processing of paper-based archives and the development of new procedures relating to the management of electronic archives.

You will be supported by a dedicated professional mentor who will guide and advise you throughout your placement.

Role & responsibilities

  • Assisting with the processing of paper records (sorting, inventorying, filing)
  • Inventorying and entering records into the CSSF’s inventory
  • Assisting with quality control of record processing
  • Proposing and developing archiving procedures to implement standards and legislation relating to archives
  • Active involvement in developing an archives portal for staff to inform them and raise their awareness of document management
  • Proposing and implementing awareness-raising initiatives
  • Participation in electronic archiving projects (mapping, gathering information from departments, cross-referencing existing repositories)

Your profile

  • Be a Bachelor’s or master’s student specializing in archives management or information and documentation
  • Have knowledge of the legislation and regulations relating to public archives in Luxembourg
  • Possess writing skills, the ability to analyze and summarize, and a keen sense of curiosity
  • Have a good command of the standards for drafting inventories
  • Be able to report on work carried out
  • Fluent in French and English; Luxembourgish and German are considered as an asset
  • Demonstrate independence, a willingness to teach others, rigour and discretion
