Mission
Within the CSSF, the department « Innovation, Payments, Market Infrastructures and Governance » is in charge of (i) prudential duties related to market infrastructure, payment services and crypto-assets, and (ii) transversal duties related to innovation, governance and remuneration in the financial sector.
Role & responsibilities
- Within this department, your responsibilities will relate to all above-mentioned topics and will in particular focus on :
- The participation and where relevant the coordination of data and information collection exercises including the development of control mechanisms ensuring the quality, coherence and comparability of those data and information
- The aggregation of and support in the analysis and interpretation of prudential aggregated data collected in the context of risk management and of the performance of the department’s duties
- Project management related to the « digitalisation » of workflows of the department, including statistical and IT aspects
- The preparation of reports and dashboards including specific statistical analyses
- Acting as contact person for the IT department of the CSSF or with other relevant services of the CSSF, with other competent authorities or the European authorities
Your profile
- Master’s degree in economics, mathematics / statistics, quantitative fields or related area (BAC+4/+5)
- Professional experience of at least 3 years
- Professional knowledge of and experience in the topics covered by the department constitute an advantage
- Good knowledge in management and analysis of large databases as well as in programming (e.g. M, DAX, Python, R) including appropriate skills in office tools Excel et Power BI/Power Query
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and French
- Analytical skills, rigour in work and sense of synthesis
- Good relational and organisational skills
- Flexibility, sense of initiative and autonomous
- Curiosity and interest for the exploitation of data and new technologies
- Discretion and confidentiality
The successful candidate (m/f) will be hired as public employee (“employé de l’Etat”) under a permanent contract. If the candidate meets the required conditions, s/he will be asked to apply for admission to the status of civil servant (“fonctionnaire de l’Etat”).
Prior to the conclusion of the contract, the candidate must submit an extract from the criminal record (bulletin n°3), dated less than 2 months, in order to prove their conduct and integrity.
