Description
- Record general expenses, tangible and intangible assets in the respective accounts according to Lux GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Ensure accuracy in recording opening and closing entries to reflect the financial position correctly.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for all transactions and entries.
- Ensure completeness of files for audit and compliance purposes.
- Adhere to Luxembourg Charts of Accounts and tax code requirements while recording entries.
- Ensure compliance with statutory guidelines in all accounting processes.
- Prepare regular reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide feedback to the assistant manager for enhancements in accounting procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly and annual IFRS reports, including forecasts, budget analysis, and compliance with internal and external reporting needs.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and annual consolidation reports in compliance with national regulations and group requirements.
- Support other departments with compliance queries, requests from the parent company, and regulatory obligations like answering queries from "Commissariat Aux Assurances."
- Prepare and file VAT and tax returns accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in any other accounting or reporting tasks as required during the mission to maintain financial accuracy and compliance.
Profile
- You have at least 5 years' significant experience in accounting, ideally in reinsurance
- You have a degree in accounting
- You speak English fluently, French is a real asset
- You are proactive, ambitious and motivated
