Virtualization Architect - Nutanix

As a Virtualization Architect (m/f), you will play a crucial role in designing solutions from various vendors and enhancing existing solutions to address business needs. Working closely with customers, you will define project scopes, understand business requirements, design solutions, and meticulously document architectures. As a Nutanix Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing Nutanix-based solutions for our clients.

Your main responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with customers to comprehend their business needs
• Develop solutions within VMware Products to meet identified business requirements
• Design Nutanix-based solutions that align with customer needs and industry best practices
• Develop detailed architecture diagrams, documentation, and implementation plans
• Produce comprehensive architecture documents and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Facilitate the smooth transition and handover of infrastructure to operational teams
• Act as a level 3 support resource for operational teams, ensuring prompt issue resolution
• Coach and transfer knowledge to operational teams, fostering a collaborative and skillful working environment
• Provide technical guidance and support to Operation  throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT architecture within a medium to large IT environment
• Relevant certifications in virtualization technologies
• Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) certification preferred
• Strong understanding of hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) concepts and technologies
• Expertise in virtualization technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, VSAN, NSXT, and VMware Aria Operations
• Proficiency in VMware Aria Automation, understanding of production constraints, and readiness to provide occasional support during non-business hours
• Expertise in Nutanix Product including Prism Central, Prism Element and AHV
• Proficiency in Prism Central Playbook for automation, understanding Nutanix foundation and deployment
• Familiarity with ITIL and project management methodologies is advantageous
• Capability to design and implement large-scale, high-availability solutions
• Knowledge of network concepts and components, along with the ability to configure, monitor, and troubleshoot features and components
• An asset would be knowledge of PKS (Pivotal Container Service)
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to evolving business needs
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required
