Senior Advisor – Forensic/Investigations (m/f)

We are looking for a senior advisor with a strong track record at delivering forensic investigations to join our growing “Forensic Investigations, Corporate Intelligence & Litigation Support” practice in Luxembourg.

Senior Advisor – Forensic/Investigations

Your role: 

Within the “Forensic Investigations, Corporate Intelligence & Litigation Support” practice, you will be part of the team performing the investigations, analysing data, facts, and gathering information, and you will play an important role in various assignments:

• Undertaking financial analysis, document review, conducting interviews, and drafting reports for senior client management;
• Investigating and tracing the flow of funds between bank accounts;
• Reviewing and critically analysing a wide range of data and documents (e.g., emails, invoices, credit notes, accounting records, transactions, financial statements, budgets or projections, company records, etc.), testing their veracity, and extracting useful information and insights for the investigation;
• Compiling and analysing facts to formulate, substantiate and/or critique various theories, claims or conclusions;
• Organising documents and work papers, including preparing supporting materials for litigation, valuation and investigation reports;
• Using your meticulous attention to detail to perform quality control reviews of your work and the work of others;
• Working with colleagues in our Forensic Technology and eDiscovery teams to understand the data available, obtain the required data to perform analyses, and review emails on Relativity;
• Analysing large data sets using SQL, Python, or other tools, and then visualise the results of the analysis with Python, Power BI, or other tools depending on the case;
• Writing investigation reports to document the extent of the analyses performed, the methodology followed, and the findings in a concise manner.

Your profile:

• At least 5 years of client facing experience within a Big Four, mid-tier consulting firm;
• At least 5 years of experience conducting forensic investigations projects, including bribery and corruption investigations, or in audit or restructuring;
• Recognised forensic and/or accounting qualification is a plus (CFE/ACA/ACCA/CPA);
• Fluent in French and English. German is a strong advantage;
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken;
• Able to produce clear and accurate written deliverables;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Strong research, analytical, and writing skills;
• Curious and investigative mindset;
• Pull actionable insights from large datasets to develop new strategies for mitigating/stopping criminal activities;
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, SQL and Python is a strong advantage; 
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple commitments under time pressure;
• Demonstrable commercial acumen when planning and pricing projects;
• Able to prepare or willing to learn to prepare financial models and cash flow analyses.
