Your Day-to-Day
As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely calculation of Net Asset Values (NAV) for Luxembourg investment funds, while ensuring compliance with internal procedures, applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Perform and review Net Asset Value calculations in accordance with Luxembourg GAAP / IFRS and internal procedures.
- Ensure accurate cash, securities and shares-in-issue reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Perform second-level controls and ensure a high level of quality throughout the NAV process.
- Monitor pending items and escalate any long-standing or material issues to management.
- Review pricing and investigate out-of-tolerance valuations using appropriate pricing sources.
- Ensure compliance with NAV publication deadlines and client cut-offs.
- Support the fund lifecycle, including share class launches, deactivations, mergers and liquidations.
- Understand and monitor the operational and financial risks associated with fund accounting activities.
- Prepare and provide the necessary documentation for year-end closing and external audits.
- Respond to client and auditor queries within agreed deadlines.
- Contribute to fund migration and other operational projects.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of procedures and processes.
- Support the team by training junior and new team members.
- Ensure the proper review and archiving of NAV documentation.
Your Profile
- 5+ years of experience in Fund Accounting, ideally within a Luxembourg investment fund environment.
- Strong knowledge of NAV calculation and fund accounting processes.
- Good understanding of Luxembourg GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Experience with reconciliations, pricing controls and NAV review.
- Good understanding of operational and financial risks within a fund accounting environment.
- Experience dealing with clients and auditors.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Fluent English is required; French is an advantage.
