For one of our clients, a European Institution located in Luxembourg Kirchberg, Sofitex Talent is currently looking for a
Group Risk & Compliance - Officer Operational Risk Management
Your tasks:
Framework, Policy & Methodology Development
- Contribute to the enhancement of the Group's operational risk management framework, including policies, methodologies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Integrate best market practices, internal audit recommendations, regulatory expectations, and business needs into framework improvements.
- Develop and maintain methodologies for operational risk measurement, scenario analysis, back testing, and other advanced risk assessment tools.
Risk Identification, Monitoring & Challenge
- Monitor and challenge the organisation's effectiveness in managing operational risks.
- Oversee the identification, analysis, and follow up of operational incidents, ensuring risk mitigating actions support process optimisation and risk mitigation.
Data & Systems Management
- Maintain and further develop the operational risk database within the Governance, Risk and Compliance tool, HOPEX, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and reliability of risk information.
- Support EIB Group services in the use of the HOPEX tool for operational risk event management.
- Contribute to ongoing enhancements of the GRC tool, including regression testing, improvement proposals, and the development of reporting outputs in PowerBI and excel.
Reporting & Capital Requirements
- Prepare high quality operational and non-financial risk reports for senior management and governing bodies.
- Contribute to the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) by supporting the development, refinement and execution of the operational risk capital calculations ensuring methodological consistency and remediation of validation gaps within the capital calculation model (SAP BO)
Training, Awareness & Engagements
- Contribute to transversal (Bank or Group wide) projects related to operational risk identification, assessment, monitoring, or reporting.
- Produce presentations, working documents, and reports to support communication and decision making.
- Develop and maintain strong internal relationships to support collaboration, information sharing, and consistent application of the operational risk framework.
PROFIL
- University degree, preferably in Economics, Banking, Finance, Information Technology, Mathematics and/or Statistics
- Minimum 3 years' of relevant professional experience, preferably in operational risk management, project management, audit and/or risk and controls.
- Understanding of Operational Risk regulations and best practices
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with project management principles, methods and practices is a key asset.
- Familiarity with key applications tool, Hopex is an advantage
- Knowledge of SAP BO
- Knowledge of PowerBI
- Strong organisational skills
- Strong presentation and report writing skills (English)
- Project management experience is seen as an advantage
- Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving are key for this role
- Team player with good interpersonal skills;
- Good analytical skills, ability to communicate with clarity and concision; propose solutions and express them in a clear manner;
- Excellent knowledge of English and/or French and a good command of the other*. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage
This is a great opportunity for a long-term temporary contract (initial 2-month + several extensions)
Salaire: depending on experience (5700 or 7000EUR gross)
