Our job opportunity
Today, we are currently recruiting a Terminal Operations Manager.
Reporting to the Head of Terminal Operations, the Terminal Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the terminal's operations and processes, ensuring the delivery of compliant, efficient, and passenger-focused services while supporting the airport's ongoing development and growth.
Your responsibilities
*Your daily tasks
Managing terminal operations to ensure optimal passenger flow and operational readiness, in collaboration with the Terminal Operations teams (Supervisors, Terminal Operations Assistants, Infodesk and Kiss & Fly) as well as internal and external stakeholders.
Ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining the associated documentation, and preparing for emergency situations, including obligations related to Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM), security requirements, and adherence to operational procedures.
Acting as the operational lead during disruptions and crisis situations.
Managing and optimizing terminal operational systems and processes (e.g. Flight Information Display System (FIDS), Common Use Terminal Equipment (CUTE), Entry/Exit System (EES), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Disruption Events, Check-in Development and Strategy), while ensuring appropriate governance, performance monitoring, contract and Service Level Agreement (SLA) management, and continuous improvement.
Leading and developing the Terminal Operations teams by ensuring effective workforce planning, task allocation, skills development, and compliance with lux-Airport's organizational standards and values.
Establishing and maintaining strong operational partnerships with airlines, ground handling agents, border police, customs authorities, and government agencies to ensure seamless coordination, effective decision-making, and an outstanding passenger experience.

Participating in inclusion initiatives (e.g. Hidden Disabilities Sunflower project, for people with invisible disabilities).
Participating in the integration of new employeesÂ
Participating in waste sorting and energy saving through responsible behavior
Actively contributing to the development of a strong Safety and Security culture by reporting any hazardous situations, occurrences, or incidents to prevent their occurrence and/or recurrence, in accordance with the principles of Just Culture

The required profile
Studies / training
Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, business administration, operations management, or equivalent relevant experience.

Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in an airport, airline, ground handling, or large-scale operational environment
Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a multi-stakeholder operational environment

Skills and knowledge required

French: fluent spoken and written (C1 minimum)
English: fluent spoken and written (C1 minimum)
*Know-how and interpersonal skills specific to the job
Strong understanding of airport operational processes
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Knowledge of regulations related to passengers with reduced mobility (PRM) and passenger experience standards
Experience with operational systems such as FIDS, CUTE, CRM, and border management systems
Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and emergency response coordination

The work is carried out in shifts (Work Organization Plan), including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays, seven days a week.
