Junior Fund Controller (Debt Funds)

This newly created role based in Luxembourg will give you the opportunity to support the growth of a successful asset manager. You will be joining a team dedicated to direct lending investments, a business that provides private debt financing solutions to middle-market companies in Europe and North America, managing over €4 billion of capital.Â
This position is a broad fund operations and financial reporting role within the Direct Lending (DL) platform, supporting investor reporting, fund accounting oversight, cash management, transactions, audits, and service provider coordination. You will report directly to the Assistant CFO based in Luxembourg and will work with the CFO of DL based abroad. There will also be interaction directly with the investment teams across various jurisdictions.

Your Responsibilities
- Oversight of administrators, audit process, other service providers for fund accounting and
- financial statement preparation.
- Quarterly and annual investor reporting and financial reporting deliverables.
- Monitor and coordinate capital calls and distributions.
- Support investment transaction execution alongside investment teams.
- Collaborate closely with the Investment, Compliance, Legal, Middle Office and other internal teams to enhance the quality, accuracy and consistency of fund and investor reporting.
- Work closely with Investor Relations team to provide timely and professional responses to ad hoc investor queries and information requests.
- Track cash movements and prepare related management reports.
Your ProfileÂ
- Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field, ideally completed with a professional certification (ACCA, ACA, CPA, …)
- 6 months to 1 year experience in Private Debt/Direct Lending.
- Understanding of Luxembourg private debt fund structures and operations.
- Exposure to fund accounting, investor reporting, and cash management.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills, the knowledge of eFront and AI tools would be a strong asset
- Highly organized and detail oriented, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive, hands-on, and self-motivated.
