Kepler Search are currently supporting a reputable financial institution in Luxembourg who are hiring for an Application Specialist to support the recovery of fund accounting system GP4. You will be responsible for the maintenance of application performance, supporting business validation and overseeing the recovery processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the operations, maintenance and performance of the GP4 Fund Accounting System, ensuring alignment with the business requirements.
• Collaborate closely with IT infrastructure teams for application support and troubleshooting to ensure system stability.
• Perform Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR) procedures to restore applications.
• Ensure Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) are achieved.
• Ensure application and database restoration from backups and validate the data.
• Reconcile missing and duplicate transactions across upstream and downstream systems.
• Collaborate with business teams to validate restored data, support manual data reconstruction and obtain approvals.
• Enhance PITR documentation and recovery procedures in line with business continuity and disaster recovery standards.
• Document recovery activities and support continuous improvements.
• Act as the technical point of contact during recovery events and work with internal stakeholders, internal users and infrastructure teams to support service restoration.

Skills Required:

• Over 4 years’ experience working in a similar position.
• Experience using fund accounting system GP4.
• Experience in backup and recovery operations including expertise in Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR).
• Working knowledge of data reconciliation and application dependencies.
• Ability to communicate with both with IT infrastructure and business teams.
• Fluency in English required.
