The role :
As our BI Engineer, you will take full ownership of the data and reporting capability of the group, acting as the primary point of contact for all BI and data-related topics. You design, build and maintain the dashboards, data models and pipelines that give business stakeholders the insights they need to run the operation and make informed decisions. You work hand-in-hand with business teams — translating their needs into reliable, performant, and maintainable data products.
Key responsibilities:
Design, develop and maintain interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI (DAX, data modelling, performance optimisation).
Build and maintain data models and pipelines on Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake using SQL.
Develop and manage integrations between business systems and the data platform using Hevo and Python (APIs, scripts, small automations).
Engage directly with business stakeholders to gather, challenge and formalise reporting requirements.
Ensure data quality, performance, security and governance across datasets and reports.
Document datasets, semantic models and dashboards so they remain maintainable and trusted over time.
Contribute to the broader data strategy and roadmap of the department.
Required profile:
5+ years of experience in a BI Engineer, Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer role.
Strong proficiency in Power BI (DAX, data modelling, performance tuning).
Solid SQL skills — complex queries, modelling, optimisation.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (or a strong equivalent Azure data stack: Synapse, Data Factory, Azure SQL).
Working knowledge of Snowflake.
Experience with Hevo or equivalent ETL/ELT tools (Fivetran, Airbyte, ADF).
Comfortable scripting in Python for integrations and automation.
Autonomous, pragmatic, able to own a topic end-to-end.
Professional working proficiency in English and French.
Nice to have:
Experience in the construction, real estate or engineering sectors.
Exposure to ERP / finance data (BOB50 or equivalent).
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD for data, and data governance principles (incl. GDPR).
