About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Fund Accountant to join a Central Administration team in Luxembourg.
You will be responsible for the fund accounting of complex structures investing in Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private Debt and Private Equity, ensuring that transactions are processed accurately, within agreed timelines and in accordance with applicable accounting standards such as Lux GAAP, IFRS and/or US GAAP.
The role also includes reviewing and approving the work produced by other Fund Accountants.
Working arrangement: 100% onsite – no homeworking.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform NAV calculations and NAV oversight, including portfolio valuation bookings and investor activities.
- Investigate potential risks identified during reporting periods and ensure appropriate ongoing monitoring and compliance.
- Anticipate potential risks and their impact on NAV calculations and transactions.
- Escalate issues when necessary and actively contribute to their resolution.
- Ensure that Custodian, Depositary/Safekeeping and Transfer Agency duties are correctly applied and respected.
- Support client billing activities and liaise with key stakeholders regarding KPIs during reporting periods.
- Review and approve the work performed by Fund Accountants within offshore operations teams.
- Ensure agreed deadlines, accounting standards and quality requirements are consistently met.
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Fund Accounting, with a strong focus on financial services and fund structures.
- Good knowledge of IFRS, Lux GAAP and/or US GAAP.
- Strong understanding of fund accounting processes and NAV calculations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and service providers.
- Good understanding of banking operations, processes and quality standards.
- Ability to represent the organisation professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Fluent in French and English.
Desirable Qualifications
- ACCA qualification or equivalent would be considered an asset.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
