More than an accounting position: become part of a long-term family project

Many accounting roles offer technical responsibilities but provide little room to make a visible impact.

This opportunity is different.

Our client is a prestigious and dynamic Family Office based in Luxembourg, managing a sophisticated portfolio of Private Equity investments, SOPARFIs and holding companies. The family is building for the long term and is looking for a Senior Accountant who wants to become an integral part of this development project.

The Luxembourg office operates with a high degree of independence. Although the family members regularly visit the office and remain closely involved in their investments, the local team has the freedom and trust to manage its responsibilities, develop new ideas and contribute to ambitious projects.

This creates a rare balance: direct access to the principals and a genuine understanding of their investment philosophy, combined with the autonomy to organise your work, improve processes and make your own contribution visible.

The Family Office is therefore not simply looking for someone to produce financial statements. It is looking for a stable, technically strong professional who can identify with its entrepreneurial and dynamic culture, build trust over time and progressively become a key member of the Luxembourg office.

Your responsibilities

As Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of the financial management of the Family Office's investment structures by:

  • Managing the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of SOPARFIs, holding companies and Private Equity structures.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under Lux GAAP.
  • Coordinating year-end closings with auditors, tax advisers and external service providers.
  • Preparing the accounting information required for VAT and corporate tax filings.
  • Monitoring treasury activities, cash positions and payments.
  • Producing financial analyses and reports for the principals and senior management.
  • Supporting the accounting and administration of investment structures.
  • Participating in projects linked to acquisitions, investments and corporate activities.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting efficiency.
  • Contributing to the continued development of the Luxembourg office and its internal organisation.

Your profile

  • You have at least four years of accounting experience in Luxembourg.
  • You have strong experience managing SOPARFIs, holding companies and Private Equity structures.
  • You have previously worked within a fund administrator, fiduciary, AIFM, PFS or corporate services provider.
  • You possess solid knowledge of Lux GAAP and Luxembourg investment structures.
  • An ACCA qualification, or current progress towards it, is considered a valuable advantage but is not mandatory.
  • You are technically strong, precise and able to take full ownership of your work.
  • You are comfortable working autonomously and interacting with senior stakeholders.
  • You are looking for stability and want to commit to a long-term professional project.
  • You have a genuine interest in investments, corporate finance and wealth management.
  • You identify with an entrepreneurial, agile and dynamic working culture.
  • You are fluent in English.

Why this Family Office stands out

Become part of the family's development project

The successful candidate will not be joining simply to fill an accounting position. You will become part of a long-term project and support the continued evolution of the family's investment activities in Luxembourg.

As you build trust and develop your understanding of the portfolio, your responsibilities will naturally expand. This is an environment in which reliability, technical quality and initiative are genuinely noticed.

An independent Luxembourg office

The Luxembourg office benefits from considerable operational independence. You will have the freedom to manage your responsibilities, propose improvements and participate in projects without the multiple layers of approval typically found in larger financial institutions.

At the same time, the family's regular presence in Luxembourg creates direct access to the key decision-makers and allows the local team to remain closely connected to the broader investment strategy.

The opportunity to distinguish yourself

In a lean structure, your contribution is visible. Good ideas do not disappear within a large hierarchy, and strong performance can have a direct influence on the organisation.

You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your technical expertise, take ownership of important matters and progressively become a trusted finance partner to the family.

Move to the investor side

If you currently work for a service provider, this role offers the opportunity to manage investment structures from the owner's perspective. Rather than servicing a large number of external clients, you will gain a deeper understanding of one sophisticated portfolio, its history and its long-term objectives.

What the company offers

  • A gross annual salary of up to €80,000.
  • A discretionary annual bonus.
  • €15 meal vouchers.
  • Gym membership reimbursement.
  • Free parking.
  • A stable working environment with an excellent work-life balance.
  • Direct interaction with the principals of a prestigious Family Office.
  • Significant autonomy within an independent Luxembourg office.
  • Exposure to sophisticated investment projects and strategic finance matters.
  • The opportunity to build a visible and long-term career within the organisation.

If you are technically strong, value stability and want to make a visible contribution to an ambitious Family Office, this could be the opportunity that allows you to truly distinguish yourself.
