Italian AIFM | Accounting Manager | PE

Our client is a well-established Italian AIFM based in Luxembourg, specialising in Private Equity investments across Europe. To support its continued growth, the AIFM is looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee a portfolio of investment structures while progressively taking responsibility for a small team and becoming a key partner for senior management.

Unlike larger organisations where responsibilities are highly segmented, you will enjoy broad exposure to the finance function and work closely with the Conducting Officer on strategic and regulatory matters.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SOPARFIs, Holdings and Private Equity structures
• Review annual accounts prepared under Lux GAAP
• Oversee VAT and corporate tax compliance alongside external advisors
• Supervise and mentor a team of two accountants
• Act as the main contact for auditors, banks and service providers
• Monitor cash positions and contribute to treasury-related matters
• Improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Collaborate closely with the Conducting Officer on finance, governance and regulatory projects
• Support the continued growth of the Luxembourg platform

Your Profile

• Minimum 6 years of accounting/management experience in Luxembourg
• Strong experience with Private Equity structures, SOPARFIs and Holdings
• Previous experience within an AIFM, Fund Administrator, Fiduciary, PFS or Corporate Services Provider
• A first experience reviewing work or supervising colleagues would be an advantage
• Fluent French and professional English
• Autonomous, proactive and willing to develop your management skills
