We are currently looking for a Purchasing Expert on behalf of one of our clients based in Grevenmacher , a recognised player in the Automotive industry.
This is a temporary contact leading to a permanent contract
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
The role focuses on building strong supplier relationships, optimizing panels, mitigating risks and fostering cross-functional collaboration to deliver competitive conditions and sustainable long-term value for the organization.
Reporting to the Manager Central Category Purchasing, your main duties will include:
- Deliver savings, assure sourcing in target, support team goals and ensure transparent performance tracking.
- Develop and execute Global Category Strategy in close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Optimize supplier panels, negotiate contracts and secure competitive conditions.
- Create and maintain Playbooks with key measures to drive business performance.
- Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and strategic sourcing options.
- Maintain continuous financial statement tracking of all panel suppliers, implement proactive risk mitigation measures and manage critical cases (e.g. insolvencies).
- Drive sustainability initiatives across the Category.
- Steer sourcing activities in line with Category Strategy, leveraging global bundles and auctions.
- Foster strong cross-functional collaboration to align sourcing decisions with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with corporate standards, sustainability requirement and data integrity across systems.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management, ideally in Automotive Industry.
- Strong communication, networking and negotiation skills with a confident presence at all organizational levels.
- Strategic, analytical and interdisciplinary thinking combined with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Reliable, structured and result-oriented working style.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
