The Opportunity:


This is a unique opportunity to join our Luxembourg Investment Funds team and to gain hands-on experience across the full spectrum of domestic and cross-border investment funds matters, including alternative funds (private equity, venture capital, hedge, real estate, debt and infrastructure funds) as well as UCITS.

Working within a close-knit, human-sized team, you will benefit from direct mentorship, immediate responsibility and day-to-day collaboration with senior colleagues.

You will work closely with colleagues, clients and counterparties not only in Luxembourg, but across the Firm's international network, giving you genuine cross-border exposure from day one.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Advising on a wide range of domestic and international clients on the structuring, setting-up and organization of regulated and non-regulated investment funds;
  • Drafting and reviewing documents and agreements from a Luxembourg perspective;
  • Conducting legal research on Luxembourg and international funds matters;
  • Preparing and taking part in client meetings and conference calls with colleagues across jurisdictions;
  • Liaising with clients, counterparties, service providers, notaries and the Luxembourg financial supervisory authority (CSSF);
  • Contributing to department know-how and Business Development initiatives.


About you:


  • Master's degree in law, ideally completed by an LL.M.;
  • Admitted to the Luxembourg Bar or EU qualified lawyer;
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in investment funds ideally gained within large local law firms or well-established international law firms;
  • Fluency in English and French is a must, German or any other languages is a plus;
  • A commercial and solution-oriented approach;
  • A team-player who can work effectively with colleagues at all levels;
  • Able to demonstrate the entrepreneurial spirit and energy necessary to help win and execute complicated and high profile investment funds transactions.
