On 27 January, Paperjam magazine honoured the six winners of its "HR Leaders of the Year" competition. Who are the winners of the 2026 edition?

How the competition works

The "HR Leaders of the Year" competition invites more than 420 HR professionals to vote for the most influential people in their profession in Luxembourg. The awards are divided into four categories: Institutional, Retail & Hospitality, Services and Financial Sector. One winner is therefore named in each category, in addition to the overall winner of the HR Leader of the Year title.

This award recognises the most influential HR Directors of the year as judged by their peers. It is a way of celebrating the women and men who shape recruitment in Luxembourg.

Two winners for the 2026 edition

The two HR Leaders of the Year 2026 are Caroline Lamy, HR Director at the House of Training, and Tatiana Escure, HR Director at Stëmm vun der Strooss.

We spoke with Caroline Lamy following her win, in the context of a long-standing collaboration between Moovijob.com and the House of Training:

Moovijob.com: How did you feel when you were named HR Leader of the Year?

Caroline Lamy: "I was very surprised, I really wasn’t expecting it at all. I knew that we had a joint interview with Tatiana Escure because we had answered journalists’ questions. It was supposed to be an interview by sector, so I was very surprised, but above all very moved and very grateful."

Moovijob.com: At the beginning of your career, did you ever imagine that one day you would receive an award for your professional activity?

C.L.: "Absolutely not. Considering that I retrained in human resources thirteen years ago, no."

Moovijob.com: As you’ve just mentioned, you have been working in human resources for over ten years. In your view, what have been the major developments in the HR function during your career, and how did you adapt to reach where you are today?

C.L.: "In my opinion, the main change is that we have moved from a very ‘personnel management’ approach to much broader and far more strategic issues.

I would say that the way I adapted, and what I recommend to everyone, is to never stop being curious. I truly believe that this is the key: having the desire to discover new things."

Moovijob.com: In your opinion, what are the particularities of the HR profession in Luxembourg compared with other countries, particularly neighbouring countries?

C.L.: "Having only worked in Luxembourg, it’s a little difficult to answer this question. I think one of our main particularities, which may differ from other countries, is language skills, which are inherent to almost all professions here. As a result, this is also reflected in the labour market and in recruitment."

Moovijob.com: Your relationship with Moovijob.com has been ongoing for some time now. How would you describe this relationship, and how can our services help you in your work?

C.L.: "My partnership with Moovijob.com is a long-term one. At House of Training, it makes perfect sense given our public interest mission.

Job fairs are key opportunities for us to meet talented individuals, discuss developments in the job market and promote our training programmes, which are designed to meet the specific needs of organisations and professionals.

The job board, complemented by targeted posts on social media, is a useful tool for our recruitment efforts and for reaching candidates who are committed to professional development. It is a natural and complementary collaboration."

Moovijob.com: Thank you, Caroline, and once again congratulations on your award!

Other winners by category

As explained above, four winners were named in specific categories.

In the Institutional category, the award went to Karine Rollot, HR Director of Hôpitaux Robert Schuman.

In the Retail & Hospitality category, Susanne Cardoso, HR Director at Rockhal, was recognised.

The Services category award was won by Julien Bossu, HR Director of Compagnie de Construction Luxembourgeoise (CDCL).

Finally, in the Finance category, Florence Martin, HR Director at Foyer, was named the winner.
