In a few words
Fondée en 1996, la Stëmm vun der Strooss oeuvre en faveur de l´intégration sociale et professionnelle de personnes défavorisées. Conventionnée par le Ministère de la Santé, cette association sans but lucratif travaille en étroite collaboration avec la Croix-Rouge luxembourgeoise. Son siège social se situe à Luxembourg. En 2004, la Ville d´Esch-sur-Alzette a mis des locaux à sa disposition afin qu´un second restaurant social y voie le jour. L’atelier de réinsertion sociale Schweessdreps s’est également installé dans la capitale minière. Au cours de l'année 2014, la Stëmm vun der Strooss a ouvert de nouvelles antennes à Hollerich, à Schoenfels, à Tétange et à Belvaux.
Des sans-abri, des chômeurs, des bénéficiaires du revenu minimum garanti, des ex-détenus, des demandeurs d'asile, des émigrés et des personnes atteintes de troubles psychiques et/ou dépendantes de la drogue, de l´alcool et des médicaments constituent sa clientèle.
En 2016 la Stëmm vun der Strooss c’était :
- 100 130 repas servis (28 710 à Esch-sur-Alzette et 71 420 à Hollerich) soit 26 884 repas de plus qu’en 2015 (+36.7%) ;
- 137 tonnes de denrées alimentaires redistribuées gratuitement;
- 249 personnes encadrées sur 5 sites, dans les ateliers de réinsertion professionnelle;
- 30 personnes relogées dans le cadre de l’activité Immo Stëmm;
- 575 consultations gratuites offertes par les médecins bénévoles du Docteur Stëmm, soit +9.3% par rapport à 2015;
En 2017, ce sont en moyenne 200 repas par jour qui ont été servis à Hollerich. En 2015, 45,722 repas ont été servis sur l’année et 75,686 repas en 2017. Ceci représente une augmentation de 65% sur un laps de temps de 2 ans seulement. Sur ces 2 ans, la fréquentation a augmenté de 244% : alors qu’en 2015, 1 046 personnes défavorisées ont poussé les portes du restaurant social de Hollerich, le nombre a explosé en 2017 en passant à 3 599 personnes.
