The wager of Unicareers.lu

For the 5th edition, the recruitment fair of the University of Luxembourg Unicareers.lu welcomed students looking for an internship or young professionals (up to 5 years of experience) searching for a (first) job opportunity.

A unique chance to interact and discuss about job openings with employers from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and to gain valuable information about its singular job market.

This year, the wager of the event was to bring together more than 150 companies or training organisations and hundreds of young recruits from various backgrounds: from BTEC Higher National Diploma to Bachelor, Master degree, MBA, to postdoctoral level. This enables everyone to find a project that suits their profile.

One aim: match the needs!

Since 2007, Moovijob has been riding the new recruitment trend: combining recruiting event and matching (Moovijob Tour fairs and Plug&Work evenings). The company is working towards employment like an institution and has taken the lead within the Greater Region. Unicareers.lu falls within this framework, since it has been reinforcing youth employment in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg for 5 years now.

Since its inception, the recruitment fair Unicareers.lu has made it possible for thousands of young workers to discover, often for the first time, the Luxemburgish labor market. Besides degrees and resumes, personality assessment and face-to-face encounters count more than never and place everyone on an equal footing.

A fair divided in thematic areas:

The exhibitors offered more than 2,500 offers - training, internship, and job. Companies were separated into thematic areas: Banking-Financial Services-Insurance, Audit-Accounting, Legal, IT-Consulting, Engineering-Industry-Transport, Sales-Retail, Services-Training, but also Research & Development.

What’s in it for you?
  • One day to inquire about current vacancies among dozens of firms.
  • This enables you to meet the Greater Regions’ main training organisations.
  • This is an excellent occasion to develop your professional network and secure a job.
  • Recruiters are often less formal and more accessible during the event than classical interview.
