TASK DESCRIPTION
The Sales Engineer - Stage Control Systems will be responsible for developing and managing sales projects together with our sales back office in Luxembourg, our international sales teams in Vienna, Germany, China and our network of sales agents and partner companies. As part of your job, you will develop a sustainable network of specialist planners, sales partners and, of course, customer representatives, whom you will support from the initial conception of potential new build and renovation projects through to the preparation of the tendering phase and the awarding process.
Your tasks include in particular:
- Become a contact person on the subject of stage control systems for the international specialist planners.
- Identify stage control projects and prepare participation in upcoming tenders.
- Built up sustainable client relationships for targeted projects all over the world.
- Manage sales projects during the tendering phase as contact person between our customers and our back office.
- Take part and present our products and services in exhibitions, sales events and conferences.
- Thoroughly analyse and understand the requirements of our customers and the ideas behind.
- Draft an optimal solution for automation control system based on our CAT Computer-Aided Theatre control hardware and software together with our engineering experts.
- Describe and present our concept and advantages in convincing words.
- Involve our suppliers or find new partners for creating the best possible competitive solution where external products and services where needed.
- ... and sometimes, you need to invent new products or features together with our development team.
OUR REQUIREMENTS
- University degree in the field of electrical engineering, automation technology or mechatronics. A long-term experience in design and sales or rental of rigging control systems or flying control systems might also meet our expectations.
- Previous experience in sales of stage technology or automation control systems that require special explanation in the B2B sector.
- Ideally, you are familiar with the entertainment industry and the procedures on stage during the technical set-up, rehearsals and performances.
- Good comprehension of technical challenges, enthusiasm for developing technical concepts and solutions.
- Knowledge of the relevant norms, comprehensive understanding of the concept of "functional safety”.
- Expressive in writing (German and English) and visualisation.
- Confident use of Office tools and modern communication platforms.
- You enjoy regular worldwide travel.
