Senior Insurance Accountant (m/f)

POSTE
Responsibilities
Technical Insurance Accounting
- Ensure timely and accurate entry of complex business flows (premiums, claims, commissions) and financial data into the general ledger
Fund Accounting
- Drive the operational unit-linked fund processes and accounting in collaboration with outsourced administrators/managers
Investment Accounting
- Oversee accounting and reconciliations of the non-linked investment portfolio, supported by outsourced investment accounting and manager
Reconciliation & Analysis
- Control consistency between management systems and accounting
- Analyze technical suspense accounts in a multi-company environment
Process Optimization
- Use technical expertise to identify efficiency and control improvements and actively contribute to the optimization of accounting and reporting processes.
Reporting & Compliance
- Participate in monthly and annual closings (LuxGAAP), prepare regulatory reports for the Commissariat aux Assurances (CAA), and support external audits
Tax & Fiscal Control
- Prepare and control tax and VAT declarations before submission
PROFIL
Profile
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance
- At least 3 years of experience in technical insurance accounting or fund accounting
- Strong knowledge of Luxembourg accounting standards and tax principles. Insurance and / or financial service experience preferred
- Fluency in French is a must - a (very) good level in English is also expected
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Knowledge of MS Dynamics and/or Anaplan is a significant advantage
- Ability to adopt a hands-on approach in supporting management in all aspects of the day-to-day administration of the business
- Excellent communication skills and attention to details
- Ability to work on own initiative and liaise with all levels of management
