🎯 Your mission
As a Project Manager, you will lead selected cross-functional projects from initiation through to successful delivery.
Working closely with teams across R&D, Production, Purchasing, Quality, Sales, IT and other key functions, you will ensure that projects are delivered in line with their technical, quality, cost and timing objectives.
Your role will be to provide structure, coordination and leadership throughout the project lifecycle while anticipating risks, solving complex issues and ensuring effective communication between all stakeholders.
🚀 Your key responsibilities
Project planning and organization
You will be responsible for structuring and organizing projects to ensure clear objectives and efficient execution:
Set up and maintain project structures, including project timelines, team organization, budgets and resource planning
Develop detailed project plans covering milestones, work plans, critical paths, risk management, cost and benefit analysis, staffing requirements and budgets
Define, agree on and cascade project objectives to all relevant stakeholders
Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams and ensure that everyone works towards common objectives
Organize project meetings and key review sessions, including technical reviews and launch readiness reviews
Assign and coordinate the activities required from the different functions involved in the project
Monitor project progress and follow up on the completion of actions to ensure the project is delivered on time
Project coordination and prioritization
In a dynamic environment where multiple requests and priorities may arise simultaneously, you will play a key role in ensuring that project resources are focused on the right activities:
Analyze, filter and prioritize incoming requests based on project priorities, business needs and available resources
Ensure that the prioritization of customer requests is aligned and agreed upon with the Sales team
Manage competing priorities and support teams in maintaining focus on the most critical activities
Coordinate the different departments involved in the project, including Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, IT and Sales
Ensure alignment between project requirements, operational capabilities and available resources
Project performance and risk management
You will actively monitor project performance and identify potential risks before they impact project delivery:
Systematically identify, assess and manage technical, financial, operational and project-related risks
Develop and coordinate appropriate mitigation and corrective action plans
Monitor project performance against customer and internal targets
Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality requirements, development budgets, cost objectives and project milestones
Manage project cost calculations in collaboration with Purchasing, Production and Controlling
Monitor project profitability and contribute to the achievement of internal financial objectives
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team whenever possible
Escalate critical issues to management when they cannot be resolved within the project team
Make informed decisions based on technical, financial, quality and timing considerations
Customer and supplier coordination
You will contribute to ensuring efficient coordination with external stakeholders while working closely with the relevant internal teams:
Support customer communication regarding project timing, project status, changes and key milestones
Coordinate customer-related actions in close collaboration with the Sales department
Help ensure that customer expectations and requirements are clearly communicated internally
Support the preparation of customer communications using the appropriate language and format
Coordinate supplier-related activities and support communication with suppliers in collaboration with the Purchasing department
Follow up on supplier-related actions that may impact project timing, cost, quality or technical requirements
Communication, reporting and documentation
Clear and reliable communication will be essential to the successful delivery of your projects:
Communicate project objectives, priorities and progress to the project team and management
Prepare and contribute to project reviews, progress reports and management updates
Ensure that project documentation is complete, accurate and regularly updated
Maintain project plans, action lists, risk assessments, meeting minutes and other key project records
Record and distribute meeting minutes and ensure appropriate follow-up of agreed actions
Use and maintain project management databases and centralized information systems to ensure reliable and consistent information
Encourage the use of common project management tools and processes to maintain a single and reliable source of information
Provide timely feedback on project team performance to the relevant functional managers when appropriate
🧠 Your profile
Education and technical background
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering, or an equivalent technical field
A Master's degree would be considered an advantage
Strong ability to understand, analyze and absorb technical information
Knowledge of beverage systems would be a strong advantage
Knowledge of valves and pressure regulators would also be highly appreciated
Professional experience
At least 5 years of experience in project or program management
Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Experience in sectors such as Medical, Automotive or Food & Beverage would be considered an advantage
Proven experience managing complex and cross-functional projects
Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools and techniques
Experience managing project budgets, costs and financial aspects would be an advantage
Technical and project management skills
Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling and resource management
Ability to develop and manage project timelines, milestones and critical paths
Experience with risk management and problem-solving methodologies
Ability to monitor project budgets, costs and profitability
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and demanding environment
Ability to filter and prioritize requests based on project and business priorities
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and MS Project
Knowledge of financial management would be an advantage
Languages
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
French and/or German would be considered strong assets
