For one of the EU Institution, we are currently looking for :

Disbursement Officer in Loan & Equity (M/F/D)

We are looking for a rigorous and communicative Disbursement Officer to join our client's team.

In this pivotal middle-office role, you will manage the execution of loan and equity disbursements for non-EU and EU counterparts.

You will act as the crucial link between client-facing departments, legal, risk, and finance teams, ensuring that all contractual conditions are met and properly documented before funds are released.

Key Responsibilities :

• Disbursement Management: Oversee upcoming disbursement activities for specific geographical or sectorial areas (covering equity, investment funds, Project Finance, and standard loans).

• Compliance & Risk Control: Act as the 1st Line of Defence. Perform strict checks on Conditions Precedent (CPs) before any payments are made, ensuring all legal and financial criteria are fulfilled.

• Documentation & Audit Trail: Prepare comprehensive checklists, secure proper evidence of CP fulfillment for audit purposes, and input data accurately into internal IT systems (NOW/Serapis).

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise continuously with internal teams (Portfolio Management, Finance, Legal, Risk) to verify the validity of contractual securities, borrower ratings, and financial covenants.

• Client Interaction: Communicate directly with borrowers and intermediaries to collect mandatory information required for the disbursement process.

• Problem Solving: Proactively identify, flag, and propose solutions for business or operational risks to senior management.

What We Are Looking For :

• Qualifications & Mandatory Requirements

  • Education: University degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a closely related field.

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in a Loan Back Office, Middle Office, Corporate Finance, or Legal department.

  • Languages: Fluent English is mandatory.

  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in standard office tools (Excel and Word).

  Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications

  • Good command of French, Spanish, or another EU language.

  • Prior experience with disbursement procedures and lending legal documentation.

  • Familiarity with the European institution project cycle and operational structure.

Duration :

• Starts with a two month contract (serving as trial period) with a high possibility of extension
