Your mission :
Overview: We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer specializing in the Red Hat ecosystem to drive the stability, automation, and modernization of our enterprise environment. Operating within structured ITIL and Agile frameworks, this role is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of physical and virtual compute estates. The ideal candidate blends deep technical expertise in RHEL platforms and Ansible automation with strong operational accountability—ensuring infrastructure resilience, meeting strict SLA/KPI targets, and mitigating financial or operational penalties through rigorous change and incident management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enterprise Platform & Lifecycle Management: deploy, and maintain physical and virtual server infrastructure from initial provisioning to decommissioning. Execute complex hardware migrations and baseline firmware patching schedules across the bare-metal fleet.
• Automation & Configuration Orchestration: develop, and scale enterprise-wide automation playbooks and workflows utilizing Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and GitLab CI/CD pipelines to enforce configuration consistency.
• Infrastructure Governance: Oversee environment provisioning, patch management, and subscription compliance using Red Hat Satellite across RHEL 8, 9, and 10 lifecycles.
• ITIL & Operational Governance: Manage daily operations using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and SMT. Strictly adhere to Incident, Problem, and Change Management workflows to maintain system availability and compliance.
• SLA/KPI Accountability: Monitor and maintain system uptime and delivery metrics against strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Proactively mitigate operational risks to prevent contractual or business performance penalties.
• Advanced Troubleshooting & RCA: Lead technical investigations into complex, systemic infrastructure failures. Conduct rigorous Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and deliver comprehensive remediations to prevent recurrence.
• Change Management & Impact Analysis: Evaluate risks associated with architectural changes, upgrades, and patches. Conduct detailed impact analyses within an Agile sprint framework to minimize downtime and ensure continuous delivery in high-availability environments.
• Network Integration: Collaborate with network engineering teams to manage host-level network configurations, troubleshooting core protocols and services including VLAN tagging, DNS, DHCP, and routing.
• Technical Documentation: Author and maintain high-quality engineering documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and post-mortem reports.
Your profile :
Qualifications & Core Competencies:
• Operating Systems: Deep, production-level expertise with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8 & 9), with a forward-looking understanding of RHEL 10 paradigms.
• Tools & Automation: Proven experience managing Red Hat Satellite, Git/GitLab workflows, and designing playbooks within Ansible Automation Platform.
• Hardware & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience managing the physical lifecycle of enterprise server hardware (e.g., HPE ProLiant), including remote management tools (iLO, HPOneView) and firmware management tools.
• Methodologies & ITSM: High competence working within ITIL and Agile delivery environments. Daily proficiency using enterprise ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or SMT.
• Operational Awareness: Clear understanding of corporate service delivery mechanics, including the financial and operational impact of missing contractual SLAs/KPIs.
• Networking Foundations: Strong grasp of enterprise networking concepts (VLAN segmentation, DNS architecture, load balancing, and firewall rulesets).
Certifications & Education (Preferred)
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) designation is highly desirable.
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) credential or equivalent advanced automated infrastructure certification is strongly preferred.
• ITIL Foundation certification is an asset.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical enterprise experience.
Mandatory Requirements:
• EU citizenship;
• You are able to work in shifts (7 AM – 20 PM) and 24/7 support on call.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; proficiency in any other European language is a plus
