Our client is a holding company, which manages investments and oversees various operating companies across Europe. The Luxembourg office serves as a financial and administrative hub for managing investments, financial reporting, and compliance.
Description
The Senior Finance Controller will have the following responsibilities:
- Perform monthly and quarterly US GAAP reporting for specific countries.
- Manage balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
- Oversee local service providers, including accounting firms and tax advisors.
- Prepare and analyze financial information for internal use.
- Ensure compliance with local legal requirements and statutory financial statements.
- Lead the process for annual accounts and coordinate compliance activities with corporate functions.
- Support paralegal activities and documentation with the legal department.
- Prepare budgets and update forecasts for assigned countries.
- Perform accounting for certain holding entities.
Profile
Your qualities as successful Senior Finance Controller :
- At least 7 years of experience in accounting (not auditing), preferably across diverse sectors.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP (IFRS or other local GAAP is a plus).
- Master's degree in Finance or equivalent by experience
- Excellent English proficiency is mandatory, any other language is a plus.
