For our department Maintenance within LuxairAirlines, we are looking for a (an):
Head of Maintenance (m/f/x)
Main duties:
Regulatory
responsibility and maintenance delivery:
- Be responsible
for the safe, compliant and efficient performance of maintenance services
on Luxair and customer aircraft in accordance with EASA Part-145, the
approved Luxair MOE, other applicable regulations, approved maintenance
data and internal procedures.
- Act as Deputy
Postholder of the Luxair Maintenance Organisation as per EASA Part-145, as
defined in the applicable organisation documentation. Maintain the MOE
sections relevant to the department, including job descriptions and
maintenance procedures.
Leadership, resources
and safety culture:
- Lead, motivate
and develop the dedicated staff, ensuring that the necessary technical,
organizational and personnel resources are available to support safe and
effective daily operations.
- Promote a strong
safety, quality and compliance culture within the department, while
fostering cost awareness, optimal resource utilisation and continuous
improvement.
- Ensure on-time delivery after scheduled maintenance ground times as well as an industry standard technical dispatch reliability.
- Be able to lead large team of more than 100 people.
Performance management
and improvement:
- Monitor
departmental and leadership performance through suitable KPIs, identify
areas for improvement, and initiate corrective or improvement actions to
enhance safety, quality, efficiency and overall performance.
Budget, cost control:
- Contribute to the
budget process, monitor cost development and implement actions where
necessary.
Stakeholder
coordination and operational support:
- Cooperate with
internal and external stakeholders of Luxair Technics, work autonomously on
strategic and operational matters within the scope of responsibility, escalate
when required, and ensure appropriate availability and responsiveness to
support operational needs and critical situations.
Required profile:
Minimum required criteria:
- Have a Master’s degree in
aeronautics, engineering or an equivalent field, or proven relevant experience
in the technical environment of the aviation industry.
- Have experience in managing a
Maintenance Organisation per EASA Part-145.
- Have strong leadership,
organisational and priority-setting skills, with the ability to lead, develop
and motivate teams in a demanding operational environment.
- Demonstrate strong communication,
presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate
effectively at all levels inside and outside the company.
- Display a
strong understanding of aircraft release constraints and operational
requirements.
- Demonstrate solid stakeholder
management skills and the ability to build constructive cross-functional
partnerships.
- Be able to work autonomously, take
decisions within the scope of responsibility, manage priorities and drive
initiatives to completion.
- Demonstrate change management
capabilities, a proactive approach to problem solving and a continuous
improvement mindset.
- Be able to manage operational pressure
while maintaining safety, compliance and decision quality.
- Be able to ensure appropriate
availability and responsiveness to support operational needs and critical
situations linked to the function.
- Be open to travel and participation
in industry events.
- Be familiar with standard office and
reporting applications.
- Have excellent communication skills
in English, good working knowledge of French or German, spoken and written, is
an advantage.
- Maintain strict
confidentiality of data and sensitive operational matters.
- Have good negotiation skills
- Show strong sense for entrepreneurial and economical thinking
- Show the ability for clear expression in writing
- Be capable of working independently as well as in a team
Desired or to be acquired criteria:
- Must provide an effort in the
undeveloped language
- Show user skills in
the IT systems used in Luxair TechnicsÂ
The ideal candidate:
- Be a current or former EASA Part 66
B1/B2 or C (or equivalent) license holder would be an advantage
- Knowledge of
Luxemburgish or any other language is considered as asset
