Operational Risk Management Officer - European Institution

Our client, an Investment Bank based in Luxembourg, is looking for its future Operational Risk Management Officer.

This will be a temporary contract of 2 months. Please note that this assignment may be extended, in accordance with Luxembourgish law, for a maximum duration of 1 year.

Your responsabilities :

• You contribute to the development and improvement of operational risk frameworks, policies, and methodologies.
• You support the identification, analysis, and follow-up of operational risk incidents and mitigation actions.
• You manage and improve risk data within internal systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• You help maintain data governance standards, including documentation and data definitions.
• You support teams in using risk management tools and contribute to system enhancements and testing.
• You assist in producing reports and dashboards to monitor operational risk exposure and trends.
• You contribute to capital adequacy processes by supporting operational risk calculations and methodologies.
• You help streamline and automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and consistency.

Your profile :

• You have a degree in a relevant field such as finance, economics, IT, mathematics, or statistics.
• You have at least 3 years of experience in operational risk, audit, controls, or project management.
• You understand how operational risk frameworks work and have basic knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• You have strong technical skills, including experience with databases, data models, and SQL.
• You are comfortable using reporting and data tools such as Power BI, Excel, and SAP Business Objects.
• You are detail-oriented, analytical, and able to identify data quality issues and improvement areas.
• You can manage multiple priorities independently and deliver results under time pressure.
• You communicate clearly, work well in teams, and build trust with stakeholders.

Package :

• Annual gross salary: €68,577.60 (paid over 12 months)
• Leave: 26 days of annual leave + up to 17 public holidays
