We are recruiting on behalf of an international and fast-growing organization operating within a regulated and innovative financial environment.
As part of its continued growth, our client is looking for a Head of Finance to lead and manage the local finance function while working closely with international stakeholders.
Reporting to senior management, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing the Finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Overseeing end-to-end accounting operations (monthly and yearly closings, financial controls, procedures)
- Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial statements and reporting
- Managing Financial Planning & Analysis (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis)
- Supervising treasury activities (cash management, bank relationships, reconciliations)
- Overseeing tax matters (direct and indirect taxation)
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborating closely with Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams
- Acting as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors
- Driving process improvements and automation within the finance function
- Contributing to international and cross-functional projects
Profile
- Degree in Finance / Accounting with a professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting/finance, ideally within a regulated financial environment (banking, financial institutions, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP (IFRS/US GAAP is a plus)
- Proven experience in financial reporting, closing processes, and controls
- Strong understanding of international and multicultural environments
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems
- Strong leadership, analytical mindset, and ability to work autonomously
- Fluent English & Japanese – mandatory
