Windev or Webdev or mobile Windev are known as CASE (Computer Aided Software Engineering), enabling developers to create application software, internet websites, and intranets and mobile applications. These softwares have been developed by the French editor, PC SOFT. In other words, the Windev developer or programmer creates applications or websites for the following operating systems: Windows, Linux, Java and mobile platforms. The job consists in studying and analysing the project, develop the product following the specifications and carrying out validation and integration tests. In addition to this, the Windev developer also updates specifications, writes installation procedures and manual of use. The professional also provides support and trainings to end-users.
The Windev developer must have knowledge in Windows API (Application Programming Interface), databases, and languages such as, Wlanguage or PHP, .NET. He/She may be working with Java developers.

The Windev developer may work within an IT service company. In Luxembourg, he/she may work for CTG Luxembourg, or ARHS, or InTech, or Quadram, or NSI, or CFL, etc. You must have at least a two-year technical degree and have a successful experience to be considered for a role and land a job. In general, if you possess a bachelor’s degree or any equivalent diploma, you increase your chance of finding a job. The Windev developer may be a web developer, familiar with PC SOFT tools.
