As a Health / Medical Care / Social services business sector professional and occupational therapy specialist, you are fundamental to the well-being of patients whom you accompany on a daily basis and to whom you provide care. Your job requires some flexibility since you will have to use different activities or exercises according and adapted to your patients’ needs – psychomotor disorder, loss of sensitivity, disability, loss of a limb, and so on. Different types of companies need an occupational therapist – such as hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers or retirement homes, among others. Depending on your professional environment and employer’s needs, you may be required to work as part of a team to accompany and help certain patients, particularly physiotherapists.
