The work of a fire safety team leader in Luxembourg consists in ensuring the safety of people and fire safety in establishments open to the public and high-rise buildings. The team leader or head of the fire service is responsible for enforcing health and fire safety instructions, managing technical incidents, ensuring that the fire detection and safety system (alarm, fire extinguisher, etc.) are working properly, managing interventions, taking charge of the security post in the event of an alert, giving technical advice to the emergency services, etc.
Job offers may also require to have skills and experience in supervising and managing security teams, mainly fire safety officers. The professional must also ensure regular training to the team in place (issuing fire permits, etc.). In some cases, the fire chief may work in conjunction with the occupational health and safety delegate.
You can work as a fire safety team leader in many companies, particularly in companies specialising in security, such as G4S, Securitas, Seris, Brink's, Fact Group, Dussmann Luxembourg, A.C.E. Sécurité, etc. Some employers use temporary employment agencies to recruit temporary staff.
To be eligible for the job of fire safety team leader in Luxembourg, you must hold a diploma in fire safety and personal assistance service (SSIAP2). To take the SSIAP2, you must already hold the SSIAP1 and have worked as a fire safety officer for at least 1607 hours over a period of 24 months.
