Mechanic Composite Shop

TASK RESPONSIBILITIES:

Repair / overhaul / modification of composite components in the shop and on the aircraft.

• Accomplish wet-lay-up, hot-bonding and metal-to-metal bonding repairs
• Assist in creating tools and fixtures to accomplish and facilitate repairs
• Operate shop tooling/ equipment according to his/her approval and training received on same.
• Provide verbal/ written hand over to team members and superiors

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

• Secondary technical education (CATP, DAP or equivalent) or an apprenticeship in a relevant field
• Minimum 3 years' experience in composite repairs in aviation 
• Good understanding of drawings, manuals and repair instructions in English
• Fluency in written and spoken English, any other language will be considered as an advantage
• Team spirit and good communication skills
• Ability to work in team as well as independently
• Not afraid to work at height, willing to work shifts
• Good computer knowledge: MS Office, TRAX
• Willing to learn, mature attitude
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Full time position, based in Luxembourg
• Shift work
• Regular and full-time presence required, vacations and other absences to be planned respecting shop needs
• Occasional travel may be required
• A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection
• The successful candidate will have to obtain a valid medical fitness certificate for the job issued by the Company doctor prior to the start of the employment
• The position qualifies as safety-sensitive personnel as per EU Regulation 965/2012. The successful candidate will have to be tested for psychoactive substances prior to the start of the employment
