We are looking for a profile who is:
The ultimate goal is to align with best practices rather than maintaining a specific or customized approach. At this stage, the mission would end once the assessment and recommendations are completed. Depending on the outcome, a second phase could follow to implement the proposed improvements.
The main challenges we are facing are:
- Day after day, several custom fields have been added;
- The representation of links between Configuration Items (CIs) has never been formalized;
- We do not know the best practices for representing the “new” applications based on technologies such as Fabric, AI, etc.
We are looking for a profile who is:
- A ServiceNow specialist, focused on CMDB management;
- Knowledgeable about best practices for the CMDB data model, including the relationships between CI types;
- Able to assess our current CMDB data model in order to eliminate unnecessary custom fields, either because: A native field already fulfills the same purpose, or the field does not appear to be used or useful based on current data;
- Capable of proposing an out-of-the-box, best practice–based data model;
- Able to define the optimal way to represent “new” applications (based on Fabric, AI, etc.), including the relationships to be established between these CIs.
