We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer to join a fast‑moving, innovation‑driven environment focused on advanced Earth Observation, data analytics, and machine learning solutions.
You will work within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to designing, scaling, and optimizing cloud‑native data pipelines supporting real‑time analytics and high‑growth data processing needs.
In this role, you will play a key part in building state‑of‑the‑art data infrastructures, bringing scientific models into production, and enabling scalable downstream applications through modern data engineering practices. Beyond development, you will mentor team members, contribute to best practices, and collaborate closely with software engineers and data scientists to deliver impactful and reliable data solutions.
What we expect from you
- 5+ years of combined experience in Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or similar roles
- Strong ability to design scalable, efficient, and maintainable data pipelines and architectures
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing workloads on Kubernetes
- Proficiency with Apache Airflow for orchestration
- Solid background in building and maintaining ETL workflows
- Full understanding of the software development lifecycle (design → development → testing → deployment → operations)
- Strong programming skills in Python, including the Python data ecosystem
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code, ideally Terraform
- Experience deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS)
- Ability to take ownership of components from concept to delivery
- Experience collaborating with Data Scientists to bring models into production
- Highly self-motivated, curious, and able to solve complex problems creatively
- Strong teamwork skills and proven ability to drive execution
