For our department Product Managementwithin LuxairTours, we are looking for a (an):
Contracting & Product Manager (m/f)
Main duties:
- Manage, plan and develop a portfolio of touristic destinations
- Actively negotiate and sign commercial contracts of different accommodation suppliers and other third parties at destination
- Constantly negotiate last minute / special offers from suppliers in relation to the market demand, the flight occupancy and/or responding to requests from the yield & revenue management department
- Prepare, work out and propose a business plan per season for your destinations
Increase the efficiency, profitability and the turnover on your destinations according to individual objectives - Have a good knowledge and affinity of the digital contracting environment and its best practices
- Understand the implications of external market dynamics and competitor activity on the business
- Be willing to travel on regular basis to your destinations for duty purposes
- Constantly analyse the competition, the markets and the suppliers on your destinations
- Prepare & conduct occasional projects, workshops and concept development
- Control and validate the commercial presentation of the product pages of each off- & online channel
- Control the quality of the offered products on your destinations, in cooperation with the quality department
- Maintain and strengthen business relationships with your suppliers
- Prepare and provide different documents related to the products and the purchasing process
- Be the main contact for your destinations and products for all internal departments and stakeholders
- Ensure the different administrative tasks related to the department.
Required profile:
Minimum required criteria:
- Have a master degree in tourism or equivalent confirmed work experience
- Demonstrate strong expertise in the Contracting & Product Management gained in the classical and/or digital tourism environment
- Have a proven experience in a similar position at a tour operator or a hotel chain
- Have an excellent knowledge about the travel market and tourism industry
- Show good negotiation skills and strong organizational skills
- Have an affinity with numbers
- Demonstrate good presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and to take decision and responsibility
- Accept the duty travel policy
- Be familiar with standard office applications
- Show excellent communication & negotiation skills in English and a second language amongst French, German or Spanish.
- Be pro-active, engage to proposes and take responsibilities
- Show a good sense of negotiation
- Be capable to work independently and in team in an international environment
- Be open-minded and solution oriented
- Be strict, accurate and stress-resistant
- Show the capacity to work under pressure, to meet deadlines and deal with unforeseen and urgent issues
- Ability to handle personally pre-defined deadlines in periods of heavy workload and time pressures
- Be willing to develop other languages such as Luxemburgish or other commonly spoken
- Have the capacity and ability to organize and plan.
