In Luxembourg, the job of Insurance Advisor may correspond to a Representative Insurance Agent. The role of the Insurance Advisor is to sell company's insurance products to a clientele of individuals or professionals. The professional will carry out a diagnosis of the situation and advise clients according to their needs. The advisor will propose the most suitable contracts (P&C, life insurance, personal insurance, etc.). The Insurance Advisor will manage the policyholders' contracts (contributions, claims, etc.). To keep the agency alive, he/she must not forget to define and implement the commercial strategy.
The Insurance broker should not be confused with the Insurance Advisor. The Insurance Advisor mandated by an insurance company is a self-employed in Luxembourg, this is not the case for a broker. The Insurance Advisor runs his/her own agency but must be consistent with the signatory company. In Luxembourg, the main employers are Axa Luxembourg, Lalux, Groupe Foyer, Bâloise Assurances, etc. It should be noted, that job opportunities and recruitment are few. The companies are demanding.
Master's degrees or degrees delivered by national insurance schools are the best ways to become a Insurance Advisor. However, it is also possible to be considered for the job, if you have a two-year university degree or a Bachelor in insurance. To work as an Insurance Advisor, you must first acquire experience as an insurer and develop a client portfolio.
It's time for you to send your application to recruiters! Don't forget to schedule a job alert to be among the first to be informed when a new job ad is published on Moovijob.com.
