The miller, often referred to as a CNC machinist or a milling cutter, works most often in a factory where he or she is in charge of shaping items using numeric control (NC) or traditional machines. With the help of a plan and his tools, in that case a milling machine, he is able to manufacture all kinds of mechanical parts, often from metal. For example, in France, a CAP CSI (Industrial Systems Control), a Bac Pro Machining Technician or sometimes a BTS Industrialisation of Mechanical Products will allow you to work as a miller.
