The world of work is changing, and so are the skills employers need. Whether you want to advance in your current career, specialise in a specific field, or explore a new professional path, training can open new opportunities.
To help people navigate these possibilities, Moovijob.com is launching the Skills Day, a new event dedicated to professional training, skills development and career transitions. As part of Moovijob Week Luxembourg, this first edition will let visitors discover training options available in Luxembourg and speak directly with organisations that can help them take the next step.
“Since its creation, Moovijob.com’s strength has been its ability to adapt to the changing needs and demands of the labour market. It therefore felt only natural to create this new day dedicated to highlighting continuous professional training, made possible through a strong partnership with INFPC, whom I would like to sincerely thank,” explains Yannick Franck, Director of Moovijob.com.
Why is professional training becoming increasingly important?
Digitalisation, changing employer expectations and evolving career goals are transforming the labour market. As a result, learning new skills is becoming increasingly important throughout working life.
Training is no longer just something to consider at the beginning of a career. It can also help employees adapt to changes in their current roles, specialise in a particular area, or prepare for a career change. For employers, developing employees’ skills is also an important way to respond to new professional challenges.
The Skills Day aims to increase visibility for professional training and lifelong learning and help both individuals and businesses find answers to their questions.
Discover training opportunities in Luxembourg
Finding the right training programme, or knowing where to start, can be challenging. The Skills Day will bring together around twenty companies and training organisations, giving visitors a chance to explore the different possibilities available in Luxembourg.
Participants can meet training centres, schools, institutions, specialised organisations, and companies that provide training for their own employees. These direct exchanges will help visitors learn more about available programmes and identify options that match their professional goals.
Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the financial support available for training and what information you need to get started.

INFPC: Supporting lifelong learning
The first Skills Day is organised with support from the Institut National pour le Développement de la Formation Professionnelle Continue (INFPC).
During the event, it will showcase lifelong-learning.lu, Luxembourg’s national lifelong learning portal. As the leading digital platform dedicated to skills development, the portal provides information and services for both individuals and businesses.
“As a public service dedicated to lifelong learning, INFPC is committed to facilitating access to training and supporting skills development. This day will provide an opportunity to discover the training opportunities available in Luxembourg, the financial support available, and all the information needed to turn a training project into reality,” says Cathia Gromczyk, Director of INFPC.
Who can attend the Skills Day?
The Skills Day is open to everyone interested in developing their skills or exploring new professional opportunities. It is particularly relevant for:
- Employees who want to develop new skills, specialise or progress in their careers;
- Jobseekers looking to strengthen their profiles;
- Business leaders interested in training and skills development to address the changing needs of their organisations;
- Anyone considering a career change who wants to explore available training options before taking the next step.
Whatever your current professional situation, the event offers an opportunity to find out what is available and speak directly with organisations that can help you move forward.
The first edition will take place on Friday, 20 November 2026, at the European Convention Centre Luxembourg (ECCL) as part of the Moovijob Week Luxembourg.
