First of all, it is important to note that the profession of financial auditor is regulated in Luxembourg. The job can be exercised as a self-employed person, but you can also choose to work for an auditing firm. If you are a Luxembourg citizen and wish to work as an auditor, you must hold the title of "statutory auditor" (réviseur d'entreprise), and, in addition, you must complete a minimum of a 3-year training period supervised by the CSSF and pass aptitude tests. However, if you have obtained a diploma abroad, you must apply for recognition of your diploma, and you will thus obtain approval as a foreign revisor/auditor.
