Working as a Consolidation officer in Luxembourg means producing a consolidated view of the financial status of a group of companies or subsidiaries, based on their accounting and financial balance sheet. Some of your daily assignments will be to analyze and check accounting data, ensure that standards and IFRS are met and make writing retreats to adjust the accounts before presenting them in-house or publishing them.
To be eligible for this job, you must have several years of professional experience, but it really depends on the level of responsibility of your position. The recruitment projects are complicated because there are not many experienced professionals available! Consolidation officer is a very technical occupation and can be similar to the one of accountant. If you want to catch the recruiter’s eye, you can present a solid profile in terms of skills and training. This is why having a Master's degree specialized in Accounting and Auditing can be interesting. A “DCG” or “DSCG” diploma is also sometimes required!
